I’ve been out of school for 2 weeks, and for the first time in a while I’ve been actually bored. I know there’s tons of stuff to learn about on the internet, and for the past week I’ve been following this Harvard data science course my friend showed me but I just don’t feel like doing it right now. I almost wish I was back in school already, because at least then I feel a bit more productive than I do now. This past semester I felt a bit unsatisfied with my schoolwork, because it felt like I wasn’t really learning anything. I took two technical courses, multivariable calculus and our first CS course, and while I feel like I know more now, it doesn’t feel like I’ve learned any skills to build the things I want to. I don’t really know to remedy the current feelings of dissatisfaction. I signed up for harder and more classes for the fall, and I guess we’ll just have to wait until I hit the books again in the summer to try to figure this one out.
